Frigidaire Appliance Repair

Frigidaire and Frigidaire Gallery appliances are everywhere in Valley rentals and family kitchens, and I repair them across Reseda, the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys, and the 210 corridor to Rancho Cucamonga. Parts are inexpensive and always available — these are some of the most economical machines to fix.

Common Frigidaire problems we fix

Gallery ice maker stopped making ice

The ice maker module fails — motor or mold heater gives out. I replace the assembly and check the inlet valve, since a weak valve starves the new maker.

Freezer frosts up / fridge warm

The defrost heater or defrost thermostat burned out — frost chokes the evaporator and airflow dies. I test the heater circuit and replace the failed part, then make sure it actually defrosts on a live cycle.

Washer won't drain

Dead drain pump — on Frigidaire top loaders it's one of the most common calls. Quick replacement, and I check the pump filter for the sock that usually started it.

Dryer no heat

Open heating element or tripped thermal limiter — and on Frigidaire dryers, poor venting is the usual root cause. I replace the failed part and verify the vent flows.

Electric range oven won't heat

The bake element cracks — you can usually see the break. If the element tests good, it's the relay on the control board. I check both before ordering.

I service Frigidaire and Frigidaire Gallery French-door and side-by-side refrigerators, top-load washers, electric and gas dryers, dishwashers, and gas/electric ranges.

Please review our service call terms:

• The diagnostic visit is $79. If you proceed with the repair, the full $79 is credited toward your repair — you pay only for the repair itself. If you decide not to repair, the $79 diagnostic fee is due for the visit.

• Built-in appliances: in most cases (about 60%) we can diagnose a built-in unit in place. Sometimes a full diagnosis requires pulling the unit out (extraction). Extraction is done only with your approval on site and costs extra, in addition to the $79 diagnostic fee: built-in dryer — $150; single built-in oven — $200; double built-in oven — $250; built-in refrigerator — $300. You may decline extraction and end the visit at any point — then only the $79 diagnostic fee applies, even if a complete diagnosis is not possible without extraction.

• Confirming your visit: before heading out, your technician will text you to confirm. Please reply — if we don't receive a reply, your reserved slot will be released and the visit cancelled. If you need to cancel, please let us know before the technician heads out; once the technician has arrived, the $79 service call fee applies.
