GE Appliance Repair

I repair GE and GE Profile appliances across the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys and the 210 corridor — Profile and Café French-door refrigerators, top and front-load washers, gas and electric ranges. GE's weak points are well mapped, which means accurate diagnosis and one-visit repairs.

Common GE problems we fix

Fridge acting erratic / dead display (Profile models)

The main control board fails more than anything else on GE fridges — relays burn, sensors read wrong, displays go dark. I test the board outputs before replacing; it's expensive enough that you don't want to guess.

Water dispenser drips or won't stop

Usually a water inlet valve that won't close all the way. Sometimes it's the dispenser control board sticking the valve open — I test to tell them apart before ordering parts.

Washer won't drain / burning smell

The drain pump seizes — on GE top loaders you can often smell it before you hear it. I replace the pump and check the harness, because a locked pump can take out the pump circuit.

Gas oven won't heat / weak flame

A weak igniter glows but never gets hot enough to open the gas valve. It's the number-one cause of GE gas-oven no-heat, and a quick replacement.

Dishwasher won't drain or washes poorly

The drain pump or the diverter motor fails — water sits in the bottom or the spray arms barely turn. I replace the failed motor after confirming voltage at the board.

I service GE and GE Profile French-door, side-by-side and top-freezer refrigerators, top-load and front-load washers, electric and gas dryers, dishwashers, and gas/electric ranges and wall ovens.

Please review our service call terms:

• The diagnostic visit is $79. If you proceed with the repair, the full $79 is credited toward your repair — you pay only for the repair itself. If you decide not to repair, the $79 diagnostic fee is due for the visit.

• Built-in appliances: in most cases (about 60%) we can diagnose a built-in unit in place. Sometimes a full diagnosis requires pulling the unit out (extraction). Extraction is done only with your approval on site and costs extra, in addition to the $79 diagnostic fee: built-in dryer — $150; single built-in oven — $200; double built-in oven — $250; built-in refrigerator — $300. You may decline extraction and end the visit at any point — then only the $79 diagnostic fee applies, even if a complete diagnosis is not possible without extraction.

• Confirming your visit: before heading out, your technician will text you to confirm. Please reply — if we don't receive a reply, your reserved slot will be released and the visit cancelled. If you need to cancel, please let us know before the technician heads out; once the technician has arrived, the $79 service call fee applies.
